The Arch-Heretic Speaks

To all of my detractors, this post seems to clarify my point about the Roman Catholic Church being a cult.

Of course this article does not highlight their main doctrines but does emphasize the point that they think that everyone else is wrong. To make a claim like that is presumptous and wicked. That is saying that the RCC is THE authority and defines Christianity.
I really do not know what other proof the papist and papist sympathizers need.
In all of the years that I have taught about World Religions at the church level and college level, going over the Roman Catholic Church brings out the optical daggers and fumes of anger like nothing else.
The truth hurts.

We will never tire from defending the truth and exposing heresy.

Brothers, this should not come as a shock to those of us who have known Him in truth.

What is sad is that there are multitudes who do not know why we bear the name Protestant in the first place. Rome has never relinquished her lust for worldly reverence, instead she has dressed as one of us, and dumbed down those whom she could. Those spread the lies with the shout of, "peace, peace" yet all along Mother Rome did never drop her dagger.

She wields it more openly now, and the battle will be more fierce as those whom we thought were on our side will be shown for who they are. Brothers let us keep our hearts and doctrine.

Ken, jsu, and Patrick,

I have made my mind up. I am tired of tip-toeing through the doctrine trying to make people happy and find common ground. This belief system is damnable heresy and has to be exposed from the rooftops for the Whore of Revelation that it is.

All of the recent decrees and edicts from Benedict are meant to appease the tridentine/traditonalist/
sedevacantist schisms in the rcc.
Notice he said that the Eastern Orthodox are part of the one true church but they need to come under authority of the papacy. The EO has refused to acknowledge the pope long before the great schism of 1054.This is the only thing they can be commended for.
He is wooing all the factions back to their "holy mother"

I am glad that this is now out in the open.
The battle that started in Wittenburg has never been finished, so I say let it be finished. The Reformation was hijacked in the early/mid 19th century and today the postmodern juggernaut is trying to eradicate it completely.
Mark my words; there will be more defections ton Rome because of this, as the emerging thing embraces with greater fervor, the mysticism and liturgy of the rcc and the EO.
Most of those "returning" to rome are doing so because they want a "unified" church authority. Well folks you will most certainly get what you want.

Amen and Amen! May he succeed. As the recent statements clarify, Christ founded *one* Church, and one Bride and Body... not various and several.

(You all are welcome to the foretaste of the Heavenly Banquet that is available in the one Church at any point, you know :)

Have any of you guys actually taken the time to acquaint yourselves with the Biblical principles of the foundational documents in quetion? The latest document merely supports the conclusions of prior dogmatic constitutions, as you well know.

I recommend:

Lumen Gentium

...Mystici Corporis Christi

There are wikipedia entries on these documents as well.

Yes there is one true church, one Body with Christ as the head, there are no vicars in His place, or pseudo- caesars that preside over it. The church exists all over the earth and it is not an institution sect or cult like Rome.

Foretaste of the banquet??? Only if He's serving Taco Bell.

What Biblical principles?

What is? The web site that I mentioned...
http://nonpaxromana.blogspot.com/

I think it just hits too close to home since he, being a former Catholic, knows the wickedness the RCC pushes and exposes it for what it is...DAMNABLE HERESY!!

Hey DT thanks for the plug.

The real scandal is Christ, the rock of offense, which is the skandalon.
Who is this T.O. dude/dudette ???

... I have been a quiet reader for a few weeks. I am apalled by what I find here. I have to ask DT and all of you commentors- do you really think that your misinformation, malicious language, and vitriole really honors Christ or serves His church? Do you really think that your approach will help to win ignorant people to the truth? This blog is like a small piece of Hell in the blogosphere! I encourage you to stop shaming the name of Christ by your poor behavior.

Your blogging is an embarrassment to your fellow Christians.

approvedworkman said...

"do you really think that your misinformation, malicious language, and vitriole really honors Christ or serves His church?"

First of all give me an example of misinformation. I am a former roman catholic/ex-altar boy/ex seminarian. I have been a christian for 22 years, and am on pastoral staff at my church. I study the Word and church history constantly. I do not bring "mis-onformation" to the table.
Unfortunately in the post-modern world, anytime one disagrees with the more "enlightened and tolerant", one is accused of maliciousness and vitriole.

Very easy to broadbrush.
BTW Rome has nothing to do with Christ and His church.

JSU said...

BTW T.O.

There was no malicious language on this blog until the name calling started (for example... "idiots").

Sorry to see that you have silently enjoyed our "little piece of Hell" (as you call it).

Now you can blatantly enjoy our wicked little blog since you have come out.

I do have one question though.
Do you have any proof of wrongdoing on our part? We have to warn people and call these charlatans out by name.

You need to read my Rodney King Theology post. It reminds me of what you are wanting.

Finally, it seems to me that you are the name-caller.

Once again, I will ask: do you really think that your approach really honors Christ or serves His church? Do you really think that your approach will help to win ignorant people to the truth? - And if so, how?

I am honestly curious.

JSU said...

T.O.

If you can show us how we are wrong like DT asked, then we can determine if it dishonors Christ. So, what is the proof of our wrongdoing?

You said "do you really think that your approach really honors Christ or serves His church? Do you really think that your approach will help to win ignorant people to the truth? - And if so, how?"

I will ask you in answering your question. What am I doing that is anti-loving or anti-scriptural?

"your approach"-
1. To call out charlatans by name
2. To bring their wicked doctrine to light

I suppose if you were a closet Catholic, a holy undergarment wearing Mormon or a deceived Mason my posts would make you mad.

I think the truth hurts and God's people have to come out of their comfy closets and speak out against heresy and complacency.

Are you a Christian?

I apologize once again for my less than polite brethren.

I ask you, though, DT and the rest, in the interests of fairness, to make it a practice to always go to the original text so far as you are able, when dealing with a story on the Catholic Church. As you well know from long, sad experience, the religious IQ of the MSM is little to none.

The document may be found here:
http://212.77.1.245/news_services/bulletin/news/20581.php?index=20581<=en#TESTO%20IN%20LINGUA%20INGLESE

There are biblical reasons for this statement, as they are for pretty much all Catholic teachings. The relevant scriptures are usually cited in the document text. Whether you agree with the interpretation is one thing--whether they are based upon scripure at all is another.

Not a complete argument, but an initial entry into the discussion. This is a good continuation of the discussion on authority, actually.

God bless.

"There are biblical reasons for this statement, as they are for pretty much all Catholic teachings."

Actually ......NOT!
There are no "biblcal" foundations for virtually any roman teaching.

What is true is that I havwe never heard a papist argue straight fom Scripture. They can't, as Scripture alone contradicts roman doctrine.
I once heard a rc priest say
You can't exegete from scripture alone as we have "traditions, typology, and doctrinal development" These are buzz words for, "we can ignore the Bible, and create whatever we want as canon law." What if your traditions, typology, and doctrinal development contradict, add to or take away from the Word?
This is the case with Rome, and it always has been. As I said even a cursory reading of history shows that the rcc is Imperial Rome dressed in religious drag.

Go to my blog and address the biblical arguments I have presented, in my post and the links to some posts from my other blog, on the sidebar. I also have links to several great sources which effectively refute papist dogma

Here is the url:

I agree with Al Mohler. Ths is a good thing and let the battle be joined. Ecumenism is straight out of hell.

I also have little respect for the tactics of "comment conspiracy" utilized by t.o., caspar, and mrs. burrows. What is this ....good commenter, bad commenter? It's a variation of police interrogation tactics.

pfg blogmatron said...

Comment conspiracy of Mrs. Burrows? Not sure what is up with that unbecoming presumption. Pointed link and yielding to what I agree with rather than taking up bandwidth saying the same thing...actually was pressed for time online in commenting yesterday. I don't have energy to plagiarize but did have the energy to share what God shares with me for the edification and encouragement of others in the Body of Christ of whom I care deeply...when and where He leads. Is that not proper in the blogosphere among those that name the name of Christ and are truly His by sovereign free grace? If not, I sincerely regress and apologize.

Outside watering the garden when you asked.

Was already logged into my blog due to posting there when coming here today but wasn't logged in yesterday ~ just clicked other and typed my name(often do not log in properly due to sticky keys and have to repeat). Posting is often without pointing others to my blog as that isn't the thrust behind my commenting on the blogs of others when it does happen. There certainly is and was no deception in mind. K?

Apology accepted. Grace and mercy are appreciated concerning my shortcomings; desire to do better in the future. :-)

Hello, approved,

The former Protestants who have been entering the Church in the last few decades tend to work straight from Scripture, as they know their audience. The books of Dr. Scott Hahn, Mark Shea, Dave Armstrong, and Pope Benedict's "Jesus of Nazareth" are good places to look. I'll swing by your blog sometime--I'm in a place (again) with limited and iffy internet access, so do forgive the odd timing of my responses. Also, no conspiracy--just the fact that Catholics are human and a mixed bag, just as Protestants or anyone else.

God bless.

caspar said...

I'd like to recommend these two articles to the Protestants in the discussion:

http://www.crosswalk.com/blogs/pritchard/11548425/

http://www.almohler.com/blog_read.php?id=973

I of course disagree with them on some things, but these are the best summings up of the recent statement that I've seen from non Catholic sources.

God bless.
